NRM Unveils 2017 Action plan
The ruling National Resistance Movement, NRM party has this morning unveiled an action packed plan for the coming year 2017.
This was unveiled by Justine Kasule Lumumba the party Secretary General during the end of year press conference at the secretariat in Kampala.
She told the media that the party will undertake to mobilize and work towards landslide victory in LC elections, capacity building retreats for; NRM leagues, district leadership of both local governments, and NRM leaders.
Lumumba added that the party has formulated a monitoring tool to be used in monitoring government programs. “We have an architectural plan of the party house, continue resource mobilization, and mobilize for more property acquisition by the party to develop a more financially independent and strong NRM party” she added.
The party will also conduct EALA party primaries and elections, restructuring and capacity building for secretariat staff, build more partnerships across the international spectrum with other parties and continue with updating party membership register and registration of members.
Lumumba also mourned the late DP Secretary General Hon. Mathias Nsubuga who succumbed to a stroke on Sunday.
“We send our condolences to the DP, family and the Parliament of Uganda for the loss of Hon. Mathias Nsubuga, our official condolence message has been sent to the president general Democratic Party.”
Nsubuga will be laid to rest tomorrow Thursday.
