Horror as Rwandan National murders three children in Kyankwanzi
Police in kwankwanzi is hunting for a man identified Twagirayezu Emmanuel a Rwandan national who is suspected to have murdered three children today Tuesday June 30, 2020 at around 10am at Kagarama Lc1 Butemba Town Council in Kyankwanzi District.
According to Twiine Charles Mansio the PRO Criminal Investigations Division CID, a team of police officers responded to the scenes following a phone call from one of the residents who informed them that Emmanuel armed, with a panga had attacked a home of Kalfred Mushabe and cut people without any known reason. Others run for their dear lives.
However, when the older ones managed to flee, the suspect descended on a cut a 4 year old child identified as Tayebwa Joel also son to Kalfred Mushabe and killed him.
Emmanuel then proceeded to another home of workers at a maize plantation and threatened to cut the women whom he found working at the plantation.
When the women ran away, Emmanuel cut dead two more children identified as Nakisindi Nora aged 3 years, and Ninsiima Joel aged 9 months.
As the survivors were making an alarm the killer disappeared into a big maize plantation where police and the community were vigorously pursuing him by press time.
Emmanuel had come to that village and hired land from one of the residents, Kalfred Mushabe where he has been cultivating his maize and also staying alone in his makeshift house (Manyatta).
According to the residents of kagarama, they are still in shock and wondering why this gruesome murder was done, because there has not been any known conflict between Emmanuel and the victims, neither do they know him to be a person living with insanity.
Postmortem has been done at the scene, and more than 8 other people who were badly injured by Emmanuel have been taken to Butemba health centre 3 while others referred to Hoima General Hospital for proper treatment.
“We extended our condolences to the grieved families and pledge to pursue this killer and arraign him to Court for prosecution” Twiine says.
